Every session is a two-way conversation.
There are no keynotes or conventional panel discussions. Moderators guide the exchange, with questions, challenges and contributions from the people in the room.
You decide how to spend the day.
Sessions are optional. Choose the subjects relevant to your work. In the afternoon, move between the programme and your agreed one-to-one meetings.

Meetings are prepared around project requirements, geography, stage, timing and relevant capability. Both sides agree before a 30-minute conversation is scheduled.

Each side reviews the reason for the proposed introduction. A meeting is scheduled only when both agree to take it.

Meet prepared. Agree the next step.
A 30-minute conversation can clarify the requirement, test the fit and establish who follows up on what. The next step might be a technical discussion, a site visit or further evaluation.
A pass includes meeting-request access. A fixed number of prepared meetings, delegate capacity and delivery timing are agreed separately as part of a curated programme.

How is this different from a conventional conference?
Expand has no keynotes or conventional panel discussions. Every session is designed as a two-way exchange, with a moderator and contributions from the room. Networking is built around curated one-to-one conversations, and you choose the sessions and meetings relevant to your work.

Who qualifies to be in the room?
Participation is limited to 150 organisations. Each organisation and its representative is reviewed for their relevance and decision responsibility in campus investment, planning, design, procurement or delivery. Institutional requirements and provider capabilities are reviewed separately before meeting introductions are proposed.
How do I apply or register?
Institutions should apply with their project requirements. The team reviews the application and shares payment instructions after approval. Architects and consultants can review the professional pass. Commercial participants must confirm their category and participation approval with the team before paying.
What does the pass include?
The full-day forum and networking, together with meeting-request access. A fixed number of prepared meetings is available through a separately agreed programme; it is not included automatically with a pass. See your participation page for the full scope.
How do the 1:1 meetings work?
We review the institution’s requirements alongside the other participant’s experience, location and capabilities. Both parties must accept a proposed meeting before it is scheduled. Each meeting lasts 30 minutes. The event meeting window is 13:45–17:45 IST.
Do I have to attend every session?
No. Choose the discussions relevant to your work and share your priorities during onboarding. Accepted one-to-one meetings are scheduled alongside the afternoon programme. Larger meeting programmes may need more than one delegate or additional agreed meeting time.
What does one company per category mean?
Commercial participation is organised across 25 categories, with one company per agreed category. The team confirms the category definition and availability before approval and payment. A pass does not reserve an unspecified or broader category.
